Amber is a wildlife professional and co-founder of Backyard Birds Sanctuary. She has a breadth of animal experience, including exotic bird care and several years of clinical wildlife work. Her role mainly involves assisting with solidifying goals towards a sustainable future in bird rescue and acting as an advisor when considering the clinical and ethical nuances of humane avian care.

Amber and Mariah worked alongside each other at multiple wildlife facilities and what drew them together was the radical and somewhat self-sabotaging notion of nothing else mattering if an animal was in need. Their qualms with the lack of transparency in the non-profit animal care realm are many and have been the driving force in hoping for better. After over a collective decade of working for others, they finally have something tangible to help continue their mission in its purest form. For Amber, that involves ensuring passion, resolve and empathy are present at the forefront of every animal care decision.
